Ian Douglass
Partner BA FCA

Shortly after qualifying, Ian went on to gain experience working for one of the big 4, where he spent a couple of years working in taxation. It wasn’t long before he made the move into independent general practice and in 1993 he established Douglass Walker, and in 2006 he merged with Furey Grange to form Douglass Grange.
Ian is happily married to Susan, they have two grown-up children, Shona and Joe, and two grandchildren whom they love dearly. Outside of work, Ian is a keen supporter of Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club and also a special advisor to some key businesses in North West of the UK. He likes socialising with friends; a game of bridge and has been known to turn his hand to a round of golf.

Anthea Grange
Partner FCA

Anthea qualified in 1985 whilst working for a small practice in Burnley. Following a move to broaden her experience working for a medium-sized practice in Manchester, she set up her own practice, Furey Grange, in 1994. In 2006, she merged with Douglass Walker to form Douglass Grange.
Anthea is happily married to Peter and they have two sons, Andrew and Daniel. She is a lover of fast cars and racing. In 2007 she came 2nd in the National Morgan Rally, scoring high on time and technical accuracy.

Julie McDonald
Practice Manager FCCA

Julie began her career in 1983 working as accounts clerk for a large practice in Preston. She qualified in 1995 and continued to progress her career, rising through the ranks. She has held many key positions including Accounts Senior, Accounts Manager and Audit Manager. In 2002 she joined Douglass Walker as Relationship Manager, managing a portfolio of key client accounts. Following the merger of Douglass Walker and Furey Grange in 2006, Julie was appointed Practice Manager.
Julie works hard and plays hard; she is totally committed to the Practice but equally she relishes her role as mum to her young son Alex.
